Ironically, we have started talking about Archaeology in Emory's History Lesson and my husband was in a city today that has Indian Mounds (Moundville Archaelogical Park), so we went with him. We called it our first field trip. We had a good time--it was slightly muggy and hot, but the kids didn't complain very much. As long as they had plenty to drink, they were cool. The mounds were really amazing. There wasn't much to see there, but one can let his or her mind really wander back to 1100 AD to imagine what was going on in this civilization of the Mississippians. Here are a few pictures from our day. OH! We stopped by on the way and got me a new digital camera. I love it!!! Hope you like seeing pictures...lol.

Looks like a great feild trip!! We're hoping to take a field trip to the zoo eventually, lol. We have to drive up there regularly to see hte mw anyways, we may as well make a side-stop. It's just affording hte cost of admission that will kill us, lol.
